Depression Symptoms – The Downward Spiral
There are many depression symptoms that can be identified and treated when diagnosed properly. Depression can start a downward spiral that compounds on itself if not looked after or if it persists for too long. Feelings of worthlessness and agitation can cause you to not want to even try which will lead to further feelings of worthlessness where one might start blaming themselves for the situation there in which in turn can lead to a feeling of helplessness. Depression keeps creeping along until it spirals further and further down and it feels like the hole has become too deep to crawl out of. For some, depression is a fleeting feeling that eventually fades, or perhaps for some it is just a phase. For others it is far more than that. Others will try to give you feelings of hope and tell you they understand, but how can they? They have no idea the feelings that swirl inside you, that pulse of cursed darkness that swells and grows till it eats all the happiness away and leaves nothing but a trail of degradation and loneliness. If it is more than just a phase, more than just a fleeting feeling due to circumstance, then it should be treated clinically.
